Historical Review:

Ramón Cabrera Griñó, (Tortosa 1806 – Wentworth – England – 1877). He was born on December 27, 1806. He conducted ecclesiastical studies in the Trinitarian monks, but left the Seminary and presented himself to Morella to Colonel Baron de Herbés, as a volunteer in the Carlist army of the First War. Defeated and shot in 1833, Cabrera soon stood out for his military skills. In April 1835, Carlos V appointed him head of the Carlist forces of Aragon and Valencia, replacing Manuel Carnicer, giving a great boost to the war, especially for his extraordinary mobility. He became the Zumalacárregui of this region, nicknamed for his cruelty as the “Tiger of the Maestrazgo”
