Historical Review:

Amhara horse bands, or Amhara Group Squads, were irregular military units of the Italian colonial cavalry (a group of independent squadrons) of the Royal Colonial Troop Corps. (RCTC, Regi Corpo de Truppe Coloniali).
Established on September 5, 1936, it also took the name of the III Amhara Colonial Cavalry Squadron Group in late 1939. Its motto was “Celerrime ad Metam” (“Quickly as possible to the finish line”).
